The World Parkinson Congress Program Subcommittee of Creativity and Parkinson's and other WPC leadership thank the more than 200 artists from 12 countries for making the Creativity and Parkinson's Exhibition in 2006 a spectacular success. We are incredibly proud of the quality of the exhibition we were able to assemble with the physical art display, the works in the slideshow, the written work in the Writer's Corner, the music, the multimedia artwork, the 'Artists in Residence' and 'Meet the Artists' periods of sharing. The spirit of teaching and learning and the joy of sharing were palpable.

Glasgow, Scotland
This aspect of the WPC was so well-received by the artists, families, and attendees at the WPC 2006 that plans are underway to hold another exhibit at the WPC 2010 in Glasgow, Scotland. The exhibit will once again honor the artists in the Parkinson's community and offer a space for the artists to share their creations and stories which inspired so many people.
The creativity exhibit in 2006 came about from the commitment and time spent by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) and its staff who organized the logistics of collecting artwork, setting up the display, and continuing with the mission of exploring the connection between creativity and PD. After the WPC took place, the PDF requested the right to continue with this work and was granted permission by the WPC and all the artists who submitted work, to continue with this project, which is now run and housed by the PDF on their website here. They continue to collect and maintain artwork online offering a space for the PD artist community to stay connected.
Using the artwork from their creativity site, the PDF has once again created a calendar, which is available for people in the community for free. For information on how to order Creativity & Parkinson's 2009 Calendars please write to creativity@pdf.org.
