Late Breaking Abstracts

Deadline
The Late Breaking Abstract submission link is CLOSED

Those who submitted abstracts will be notified by Friday, July 23 via the email used in the submission process.

Definition
A Late Breaking Abstract is any abstract reporting information that became available for public dissemination after the deadline of the regular abstract submissions. It must be of critical importance to the clinical and/or scientific community and/or the public and should be newsworthy.

Eligibility

The Late Breaking Abstract program is not designed to favor investigators who inadvertently missed the deadline for the regular abstract submission. Furthermore, abstracts reporting results based on small size series, because of their usual questionable power, are discouraged as Late Breaking Abstract, and abstracts on case reports would be considered only under exceptional circumstances given their inherent anecdotal nature.

Late Breaking Abstracts may be submitted by any researcher in any of the Scientific categories. Late breaking abstracts are not being accepted for the Living with Parkinson's category, but are designed instead to allow researchers with new data to submit this for consideration as a poster.

Length
Late Breaking Abstracts are limited to 2,500 characters, including spaces.

Notification
Submitters will be notified of the acceptance of their Late Breaking Abstract no later than Friday, July 23, 2010.

Previously Published Material
Previously published material could also be considered as a Late Breaking Abstract only if, in addition to the published material, the abstract contains additional, unpublished, new information, rectification, clarification, and/or correction of critical importance to the clinical and/or scientific community and/or the public and which became available for public dissemination after the deadline of the regular abstract submission.
