Visa Requirements
Letters of invitation will be written for all authors who have been chosen to present papers at the World Parkinson Congress to assist them with obtaining a VISA for entry into the United States .
Recent changes to the visa policy and procedures are expected to increase the amount of time it takes to obtain a visa. It is important to begin the visa application early; the process can take as long as four months. It is important to refer to the US Department of State visa information web site for the most up-to-date information. http://www.state.gov
Make sure that the expiration date on your Machine-Readable passport is at least six months after you plan to leave the United States .
A personal appearance interview is now a standard part of the Visa application process. To find the US Embassy or Consulate in your country please consult the US Department of State travel information web pages.
VISA Waiver Program
The VISA Waiver Program (VWP) enables citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. Visit the U.S. Department of State's Visa Waiver Program Web site to find a complete list of participating countries.
Those who qualify under the VISA Waiver Program must present a Machine-Readable Passport.
