Questi i principali slogan che ci avevano accompagnato durante le nostre “3 favolose bike riding negli anni 2020/2021/2022” e che credevamo, per svariati motivi, non poter più perseguire in questo 2023.
E invece no, la nostra ferrea volontà di andare oltre le montagne, i mari e i fiumi oltre all’abitudine ad affrontare sfide, ha fatto sì che cogliessimo al volo l’opportunità data dal “WPC 2023” aggregandoci alle migliaia di amici provenienti da tutto il mondo in occasione del suddetto evento in svolgimento dal 4 al 7 luglio a Barcellona.
Sicuramente una scelta impegnativa quella di “andare fino là in bike” ma tanto sfidante da convincere una dozzina di parkinsonauti ad affrontare un migliaio di km e centinaia di mt di ascesa ad essere parte dell’evento.
Potevamo dunque restare passivi a guardare oltre duemila persone (stime dell’Organizzazione) parlare di noi?
Dove si sarebbe dovuto nascondere dalla vergogna di non esserci il nostro indomito spirito di “combattenti”.
Ecco che allora Marco, Angelo, Max, Samantha, Stefano, Daniele, Mauro ed altri ancora pronti a metterci la faccia (oltre alle gambe) inforcare le bike (di qualsiasi razza) e via andare oltre i confini a rappresentare e raccontare quello che in questi 4 anni abbiamo fatto.
Sì perchè saranno le nostre chiaccherate con i nuovi amici che incontreremo sulla via e soprattutto in quel di Barcellona a stupire e a sorprendere.
Se pensiamo da dove veniamo, cosa facciamo e dove vogliamo andare c’è di che “stupirsi”.
Quattro anni vissuti alla grande, sempre con la voglia di andare oltre la quotidianità.
Davvero tanta roba piena di fascino inimmaginabile all’inizio.
Belle storie piene di vita, vita vera che non vogliamo tenere solo per noi ma condividere con più persone possibili.
Se qualcuno, sia esso del nord, del sud, ovest ed est vuole saperne di più siamo pronti a farci in 4 così da trasformare i racconti in favole.
Quelle favole adatte a tutti, bambini ed adulti dove la concretezza si mischia alla fantasia.
Bene, fatevi avanti, le nostre storie/favole vi riempiranno il cuore.

Where was our indomitable spirit of "fighters" supposed to hide from the shame of not being there.
Here then were Marco, Angelo, Max, Samantha, Stefano, Daniele, Mauro and others ready to put their face (as well as legs) straddle the bikes (of any race) and off we go across borders to represent and tell what we have been doing these past four years.
Yes, because it will be our chats with the new friends we will meet on the way and especially in that of Barcelona that will amaze and surprise.
If we think about where we come from, what we are doing and where we want to go there is something to be "amazed" about.
Four years lived great, always wanting to go beyond the everyday.
Really a lot of stuff full of fascination unimaginable at the beginning.
Beautiful stories full of life, real life that we don't want to keep just for ourselves but share with as many people as possible.
If anyone, from the north, south, west and east wants to know more we are ready to go the extra mile so as to turn the stories into fairy tales.
Those fairy tales suitable for everyone, children and adults where concreteness is mixed with fantasy.
Well, come forward, our stories/fables will fill your heart.
